• The Kaurna People used the stem to make twine.

• Red flowers with a bright yellow centre appear in spring.

• Long leathery seed pods and seeds are important for insects as they attract the Blue Pea Butterfly.

• Once quite common to the Adelaide plains region it’s now only found in reserves.
