Wallaby Grass

This plant was used by the Kaurna people to kill grazing animals like Wallabies which were then eaten.
Animals like frogs and lizards hid in the fluffy seeds, which attracted small birds and insects who fed on them.
It flowers in spring and summer.
It is common in the Adelaide plains.
